Hello and welcome to cookingcrusade.com. My name is Christine! I am a twenty-something wannabe baker who loves to cook and decorate cakes.
This blog is mostly about simple, delicious recipes that don’t require too many ingredients and are usually very easy to make. If you’re a student, have recently moved out of home, looking for something quick, easy and tasty or are cooking for two, cookingcrusade.com is for you!
Hmm, what to tell about me? I’m Filipino/Australian. I live in and love the Northern Beaches Sydney, Australia. I love cooking, baking, cake decorating (duh) and food photography. Any of my facebook friends will be able to attest this with the amount of food photos I’m constantly uploading. I finished my anthropology degree a year or so ago and have been working full time as an Administrative Assistant in Sydney ever since.
Some of my food goals are to learn how to perfect cake decorating techniques, learn how to cook traditional Asian food and expand on my baking repertoire and figure out how to properly use my camera.
I recently upgraded my camera to a Canon EOS 550D but I’m still finding my way around an apeture, so you’re probably not going to get exact lens specs of what I’m using.. not at the moment anyway. Sorry about that!
The main point of this blog is to improve my cooking and photography skills. It may be an adventure, it may be a …(might i say..?) crusade? Watch! As I attempt to bring you fast and easy meals to the more complicated and tortuous, strap yourselves in, for it is sure to be a fun ride! =)
